Problem
A law firm was literally drowning in an ocean

Firm finally achieves operational stability after
critical system rescue
Problem
A financial services company had contracted
with a consulting firm to upgrade their servers to the latest release of
software. Planning for the upgrade took place over the course of a month due
to the complexity involved in the process. When it was time to perform the
upgrade, the consulting company spent seventeen unsuccessful days trying to
complete the tasks. At the end of the seventeenth day, a system that was vital
to the success of the financial company failed and could not be revived
despite many frantic attempts.
Solution
One of our staff members was quickly
dispatched and immediately assessed their situation. A triage strategy was
implemented to address all the issues based upon priority and impact to the
client. Every problem with the system was corrected and the system became
operational.
Results
The server was up and running within an hour
and working flawlessly within three hours. This same system has been operating
without error for more than seven months. In addition, we were able to

Problem
A brand new city began setting up their
computer systems with the assistance of a computer company. Immediately after
the systems were installed they started to experience problems with their main
server. This computer system would restart for no apparent reason and
performance steadily decreased each day. Important information was being lost
daily and employees could now longer count on the server to perform as
expected.
Solution
Within minutes of our arrival we were able to
determine that the system had been compromised by hackers. A closer
examination revealed that a critical mistake had been made in the security
design for the city. Immediate steps were taken to secure the system and
prevent future unauthorized access.

When we were finished the server’s

Government agency saves
taxpayers money with faster system installations
Problem
A government agency was spending a large
amount of time and money when new computer systems needed to be installed for
employees. Each computer required half a day to configure because of their
unique environment. In addition, the agency had a limited number of staff so
they had to bring in contractors to install each system.
Solution
By using two innovative software programs we
were able to rapidly duplicate computer systems in one large batch instead of
one machine at a time. We redesigned their business processes and helped
developed a standard computer configuration. Existing staff were used and the
agency was able to eliminate the need for contractors to setup each system.
Results
Configuration times were reduced from four
hours per computer to fifteen minutes. In addition, employees were able to
solve computer problems rapidly because of the standard configuration. When we
were finished the agency reduced expenses by over $50,000 each year.
