New research outlines ways to bypass most anti-virus software

May 11, 2010

A security researcher at published an article that provides a detailed method for bypassing most anti-virus products.  Hackers could use this information to create new viruses/malware which would be able to circumvent protections by antivirus software.

Most 32 bit Windows operating systems (Windows XP, Windows Vista) are vulnerable to this new attack vector.  It is difficult to implement but given enough time, we expect to see many new viruses use this new process to infect unsuspecting people.

More details can be found here.
