Android smartphones to include Microsoft connections

April 28, 2010

Microsoft has recently signed licensing agreements with HTC and is in active negotiations with many others to incorporate Microsoft technology into Android phones. What this means is that Android phones will soon support direct connections to Microsoft Exchange server natively (built into the phone) without the need to load third party software.

This is important because native software supports more features, integrates better with the phone’s operation, and is typically easier to configure than third party software.  Hopefully older phones will be eligible to receive the new technology via software updates.
